Yes, it time for the Dunes Season to begin! Every Halloween weekend there are big festivities held at the Dunes to initiate the Season. Outdoor camping at the Dunes is best from October through April. Once the weather warms up again, forget it. Desert camping is one thing but hanging out in the Dunes in warm weather is another. There is no better way to spend quality time with your kids than to go outdoor camping. My family has done this activity since the kids were babies. My youngest son spent many of his earliest weekends in a baby carrier rocking atop a picnic table. I would cover him with a light weight mosquito net and gave him a bottle.
