Back On Top with Skateboarding Equipment |

It had been years since I bought new skateboarding equipment. Not because I never pushed the deck around but because my gear worked and I don’t do a lot of tricks like the old days so the hardware has a much longer lifespan. As my roommate said when looking at my wheels, “You rode those things to the bone.” Imagine skateboard wheels not much larger in circumference then quarters and that is what I was working with. Any and all cracks on the street had the potential for sending me into the ground and they did. I finally took the time to go online and shop for skateboarding equipment. Quickly finding new bearings, wheels and risers, I clicked buy and have since upgraded the hardware on my board.
I bought larger then average wheels because all of my skating now is for exercise and free transportation. They are fast but not large enough where it is hard to olley. All of the sidewalk cracks are of no concern anymore. My wheels bounce right over them. I’m back on top with skateboarding equipment and it feels great.
