When my kids were younger, we as a family would go with other friends and their families camping in the summer. We would do the usual outdoor camping with tents, sleeping bags and not too many bathroom amenities, but my favorite was to do some resort camping. A few times, all of us families would choose a great family resort camping spot and it was heaven to me. The kids would bring their bikes and skateboarding equipment, while us grownups could sleep in actual beds and cook on small stoves in our resort camping cabins. Everyone loved the extra perks, like a pool, walkways and many hiking and biking trails. It was great fun for all of us to gather at night and sit outside while the kids played nearby. Honestly, that is and was my favorite type of camping. My kids are torn between tent and resort camping as their favorite. They just love to be outdoors, no matter where they sleep. I think I will put resort camping on our summer agenda again and see which much bigger and older kids can come join us.
