resort camping, outdoor camping We love to go outdoor camping and with the advent of spring and summer, we are looking for a couple of places where we can go resort camping. During the winter we camp in regular campgrounds, but the kids really enjoy resort camping better because they love the amenities, particularly the swimming pools. In the summer, those pools are packed with kids and adults alike, so our number one criterion in finding a place to go, we have to make sure that there is a nice pool. A jacuzzi is my first choice when resort camping, because nothing feels better after a long hike than a long, hot soak.

Other benefits of resort camping are the hot showers, the clubhouse, the electricity, the little stores, and the friendly atmosphere in these places. I believe that campers are a particular breed and it's really fun to sit around the pool or campsite chatting with strangers about their camping experiences or sharing our own. We have even made some long time friends when we've been camping, which without a doubt has been the best benefit we've experienced when outdoor camping.
