Outdoor Living Better When Prepared |

Last summer, on a whim, I decided to go camping with a couple of friends while sitting on the couch trying to think of things to do. Someone suggested outdoor camping and we all loved how it sounded. Literally, within 30 minutes, our gear was loaded into the back of a truck and we were ready to find outdoor adventure. After getting to the campsite that was about 45 minutes away from where we lived, it became apparent that we forgot a few important items. We did not have a camping stove, can opener, tarp to lie under the tent and my buddy forgot his pillow. He ended up using his duffel bag of clothes.
It was a fun trip overall but outdoor living is best with a little bit of planning. It is June now and another camping trip is in the works. This time I’m buying all the outdoor camping gear I’ll need for summer before trekking out into the desert or forest. Opening a can of chili with sharp rocks because no one brought a knife or can-opener is not that fun.
