skateboarding equipment, outdoor campingPhone rings and my buddy wants to know if I want to get the skateboarding equipment together for a trip down to the Venice boardwalk. It had been months since I ventured down there to skate. I hadn’t been to the new skatepark right on the beach and agreed. There aren’t many better ways to spend a summer afternoon then sweating it out oceanside with skateboarding equipment in the eclectic setting of Venice. Plus on a skateboard all the boardwalk peddlers hawking their hot new hip-hop albums and street art don’t have a chance to pull you in. There is nothing more annoying than the guys pushing their albums and then getting mad when you don’t want to buy it. Before this call, I had been browsing around Bridges Outdoor World for outdoor camping gear. Ironically, this retailer also sells skateboarding equipment.

I took a look at my deck and noticed that the hardware had seen better days. It was rusted, corroded and near stripped. I’ve ran into the problem of not being able to unscrew a bolt because it is stripped. It’s no fun so I soon was clicking buy on new hardware.
