I was cleaning out the garage with my husband not too long ago when I came across a box filled with old skateboarding equipment. I opened the box about the time that our oldest son came outside and he asked his dad where he got all the cool skateboarding equipment. My husband chuckled and said that he was talking to the wrong person, because it all belonged to me. You should have seen the surprised look on my son’s face. Obviously it never even crossed his mind that the skateboarding equipment could actually belong to me, but since I was going to get rid of it, I suggested that he could have it if he wanted. Since then he’s become a fanatic and now wants some skateboarding equipment of his own. I’ve located a great website online and plan to order him some new pads and things this weekend. I’m not going to tell him though, I’ll just wait until it arrives and then I’ll give it to him. There’s nothing like the element of surprise and I know this is one surprise that he is going to love.
