I know some folks who love to outdoor camp in Arizona during our winter time. They usually go not too far, like Lake Pleasant which is in the Phoenix vicinity. My friends love outdoor camping and try to do it year around. In Arizona, you can do that in the Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma areas where it is warmer than many other areas during the day. The nights are very cold though, and sometimes it can be windy so they are always prepared with their heavy outdoor camping equipment. There are many snowbirds that also come here annually with their motor homes or 5th wheels and do some resort camping for a few weeks or for a few months. So you won't be alone at some of these sites. I don't like to be cold, so for me the chilly nights are not my idea of camping fun. I will wait a few more months, then the spring camping season will be here to enjoy. Although, there will be many more people out there at the camping sites.
