Enjoy all the comforts of resort camping. |

People who are into outdoor camping normally have a preference for the type of outdoor camping they enjoy. Some like going the full primitive way with as little camping gear and facilities as possible. I have done this many times and it is a great way to learn how to make do with a minimal amount of camping gear. Other people are more into resort camping where they can pitch a tent but still have access to more civilized amenities such as clean running water, showers, full bathrooms, electrical hook-ups, etc. I have also enjoyed resort camping and this is the type of outdoor camping I prefer when I have my grandchildren and other less "hardcore" campers with me. There is plenty for the kids to do at resort campgrounds as most include playgrounds, places to ride bikes, horse back riding, swimming pools, and more. State and Federal Parks are good places to go resort camping as they have all the above plus plenty of hiking trails, ATV riding areas, beautiful scenic areas, and stores close by.
