We have had a hard winter this year here in Maryland and even now there are several feet of snow on the ground outside. It really is too cold to go very far and more snow is forecast early next week. Right now the idea of summer and outdoor camping seems like a dream. I would love nothing more than to be outdoor camping in the woods with my husband and step-grandkids. I can imagine cooking up meals on our camping stove and gathering round the camp fire to tell spooky stories at night. I can imagine swimming in a lake or river and hiking in the woods and I would love to go outdoor camping right now if the weather were warm. I love the way outdoor camping does so much to reduce stress levels. As soon as we get our truck into the woods I feel like I have entered a whole different world where the tribulations and concerns of modern living just don’t matter anymore. I can get back to nature and rediscover the person I really am. Summer outdoor camping would definitely feel good right about now.
