outdoor camping, camping stoveI love the Internet for many reasons, and one of the biggest is the online shopping for virtually anything. I buy a lot of things online and today when I was shopping for a new camping stove, I ran across these hand warmers that I was so glad to see. I used to have several of these years ago and I know how convenient they are for outdoor camping and at home for a multitude of purposes. Besides being a quick warm up device for the hands on chilly mornings when we're outdoor camping, they are also great for sore muscles or muscle spasms since they heat up so quickly. Once in a while my back goes out and I usually start with heat and then switch to cold compresses. It can be difficult when I'm home alone to get my heating pad plugged in with a bad back so I can easily reach for one of these, twist it a little, and have immediate heat relief.

When we're outdoor camping, I also like to use these to keep our food hot while we're waiting for the entire meal to finish. I have a small insulated cooler that I keep the hot food in and when I add one of these hand warmers to it, the food will stay hot for a long time. These are remarkable devices and can get as hot as 130 almost instantly. These are called the Prism EZ Heat Reusable Hand Warmers and I ordered a bunch of them for our family and to give to other family members, too.

I found these at Bridges Outdoor World at http://bridgesoutdoorworld.com and I ordered 10 of them. Bridges Outdoor World has a comprehensive selection of all kinds of products for outdoor camping. Once these warmers come, I'll be taking them to family gatherings to distribute them, keeping four of them at home. They last a long time and once they've cooled down, can be reactivated by boiling them for six minutes in water. Once cool, they will retain their heat making potential until the metal disc inside is triggered by twisting and bingo, it's instant heat again when outdoor camping or using it at home.

I haven't seen one of these hand warmers for a long time in retail stores, but then I don't spend a lot of time shopping in stores anymore, preferring to find our outdoor camping supplies online and I feel like I hit another jackpot today without leaving home.
